$250 million. That is how much GGPoker is guaranteeing across its latest online poker tournament series, the GG World Festival. Running from May 4 through to June 10, the GG World Festival is online poker’s biggest-ever series, featuring a staggering 1,600 events with combined guarantees of a quarter of a billion dollars.
GG World Festival events have four buy-in tiers. Low events cost $3 to $25, Medium events have $26-$150 buy-ins, and high events cost $151 to $1,050. The Super tier is reserved for those with deep pockets or who are satellite experts because the most affordable buy-in is more than $1,050!
Each tier has 400 events attached to it. The table below shows several averages for those tiers.

With so many massive events to choose from, picking one or two from the crowd is challenging. That said, let’s take a look at each GG World Festival’s largest guaranteed events for each tier.
GG World Festival Low Tier Highlights
Nine Low tier tournaments have guaranteed prize pools weighing in at between $100,000 and $200,000 despite their buy-ins ranging from an affordable $5.50 to $25. The largest guaranteed tournament in the Low tier commences at 7:00 p.m. BST on May 10.
60-L: $25 Saturday Secret KO (Mystery Bounty) is a $25 buy-in tournament boasting a $300,000 guarantee. Mystery bounties come into play once the tournament is in the money places. Entrants start with 25,000 chips and play to 10-minute levels where the blinds start at 100/200/25a. Late registration remains open until the end of the 15th level, with unlimited re-entries permitted until that point.

GG World Festival Medium Tier Highlights
Two Medium tier tournaments have $1 million guarantees. Both shuffle up and deal on May 11 at 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. BST, respectively. The first is 69-M: $55 Bounty Hunters Sunday Main Event, while the latter is 70-M: $150 GGMasters Festival Edition.
The GGMaster tournament is a two-day affair that pauses once the nine-handed final table is reached. The finalists return to their seats at 6:00 p.m. BST on May 12.
Amazingly, that pair of GG World Festival events are not the largest Medium tier tournament on the schedule. In fact, if you combined them, they still wouldn’t be. That’s because Phase-M: $55 Global World Festival boasts a $2,025,000 guarantee on its prize pool.
Dozens of phases run up to and include the event’s Day 2 on May 12. Those phases end after the 20th level concludes or when only 10% of the field remains. Players are permitted to play in as many Day 1s as they wish, but only their largest stack is carried forward to Day 2; all other stacks are forfeited.
This event needs 40,020 entrants to reach its ambitious guarantee!

GG World Festival High Tier Highlights
The High tier is awash with huge prize pools, as you would expect from tournaments costing $151 to $1,050. On May 11, at 6:00 p.m. BST, event 70-H: $1,050 GGMasters HR kicks off. At least $1 million will be won by the time the champion emerges victoriously.
Like the Medium tier, the High tier also has a phased event. It costs $250 to enter and is called the Global Mystery Bounty Festival Closer. Its guarantee? An impressive $5 million. Dozens of Stage 1s run around the clock, with the top 10% of each progressing to the final phase (Day 2) at 7:30 p.m. BST on June 9. Day 2 players will be in the money from the start, and mystery bounties will be in play.
Before that event, GGPoker is running another phased event, the $525 Global Mystery Bounty Festival. Day 1s are already running. They feed into the Day 2 on May 19 where the bulk of the $10 million guarantee will be awarded!
GG World Festival Super Tier Highlights
May 11 at 7:00 p.m. is when 70-S: $10,300 GGMillion$ High Rollers begins, a $1.5 million guaranteed two-day event that will attract some of the biggest names in poker. Day 1 breaks when the final table is reached, with the final table streamed with cards-up coverage on May 12 on the GGPoker YouTube channel.
The Super tier has not one but two tournaments with $10 million guarantees! The first is the Phase-S: $1,500 GG World Championship. It’s final day is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. BST on May 26.
The second is a $10,300 GGMillion$ Super Main Event featuring nine flights. Its Day 2 starts on June 2, with the final table streamed on the GGPoker YouTube channel on June 3.
$3 Million Worth of Leaderboard Prizes
It pays to play in as many GG World Festival events as your time and bankroll allow because $3 million in prizes are waiting to be won. The leaderboards are split into the four buy-in tiers, so you only compete against similar players.
Whoever wins the Low leaderboard banks a $2,500 WSOP ticket plus $27,500 in cash game dollars. The Medium winner receives a $2,500 WSOP ticket plus $47,500 worth of cash game dollars.
A $2,500 ticket and $57,500 worth of cash game dollars await the High champion, while the Super leaderboard winner walks away with a $2,500 WSOP ticket and $97,500 of cash game dollars.
Points are awarded using the following formula, where relative rank is your finishing position divided by the number of entrants:

May and June are Huge for Online Poker Tournament Players
The GG World Festival runs alongside the PokerStars Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP), one of the most prestigious online poker series. PartyPoker MILLIONS Online also runs to a similar schedule, while 888poker‘s lobby has a $250 buy-in XL Spring Series Mystery Bounty Main Event pencilled in for May 26; expect a full announcement imminently.
