Here’s a look at some highlights of big and interesting hands caught in the PokerNews live updates, which includes the WSOP’s all-time bracelet winner.
Torrence Can’t Dodge Hellmuth’s Aces, Baby!
In the 2021 WSOP.com Online Bracelet Event #17: $400 NLH 8-Max it was Level 16 (600/1,200/150) when Phil “Lumestackin” Hellmuth raised to 2,400 under the gun and Carlos “Soular81” Montes called from the cutoff. Lily “theslimshady” Torrence then three-bet jammed for 36,070 from the big blind and Hellmuth called off for 19,125. Montes got out of the way and the hands were turned up.

Top Set vs. Royal Flush Draw
In the same tournament, just 15 players remained in Level 32 (16,000/32,000/4,000) when Douglas “CheeksK” Kurth raised to 64,000 from the hijack and Eugene “Beratna” Kwak called from the button. Michael “EZSqueeZ” Howell then three-bet to 192,000 from the big blind, Kurth folded, and Kwak called to see a flop of

Howell continued for 96,000 and then called off for 808,380 when Kwak moved all in.

Howell had a set but Kwak held a Royal Flush draw! The 
turn was of no consequence but the 
river was as Kwak made a straight to eliminated Howell in 15th place for $3,361.50. Kwak went on to finish in third place for $32,967.
No Big Blind Special for Hellmuth
In Event #22: $600 NLH Knockout it was Level 19 (1,200/2,400/300) when action on the table quickly folded around to Ryan “Adopt_aDogg0” Leng who raised all in for 53,573 from the small blind and Phil “Lumestackin” Hellmuth called off his 20,810 stack from the big blind.

In the same tournament, it was Level 29 (10,000/20,000/2,500) when Adrian “sacakewalk” Sacher raised to 32,000 from the button, 2013 WSOP Main Event champ Ryan “BitC0in” Riess jammed for 109,620 from the small blind and Sacher called.

With the blinds at 8,000/16,000/1,600, Ray moved all in for 87,791 from early position and Jeffrey “PlusEv905” Schwartz called two spots over. The rest of the players folded and the hands were turned up.
